Mitchell & Mitchell Insurance Agency recently made a generous contribution to the Novato Branch of the American Association of University Women's Tech Trek Science Camp at Stanford. The donation will finance one full scholarship for a seventh grade Novato girl to attend camp for one week.

There will be a total of 84 seventh-grade girls at Stanford for AAUW's Tech Trek Science Camp, and overall, 680 seventh-grade girls will attend Tech Trek statewide this summer. In addition to the Stanford campus, camps are held at Sonoma State U, Fresno State U, Whittier College (L.A.) UC San Diego, UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis and UC Irvine.

Tech Trek was started in 1998 to give girls a preview of college life while learning that math and science can be fun. The Novato Branch of AAUW has been sending girls to camp every summer since the inception of the program twelve years ago and Mitchell & Mitchell has been helping through their donations for the past three years.
