Gary Mitchell, President

Gary Mitchell has been with Mitchell & Mitchell Insurance Agency, Inc. since December 1, 1986. He has been President of Mitchell & Mitchell since January 1, 1994 and has been an owner of Mitchell & Mitchell since November 1, 1995. Before that he was in the United States Air Force as an officer from September 1, 1979 through September 30, 1986. He was assigned to B-52G's in Guam and Maine. He received a B.S. Degree in Physics and Engineering from Pacific Lutheran University in May 1979. He currently holds an insurance license in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado and Arizona.

Allison Jones, CISR

Allison is the head of the Dental Professional Liability business unit at Mitchell & Mitchell. Allison has worked as an Account Manager in the Dental Professional Liability Department for Mitchell & Mitchell Insurance Agency for 17 years and has been in the Insurance Business for 18 years, providing her with an extensive background of experience and expertise.

Jeff Roth

Jeff is originally from Huntington Beach, California. He attended Cal State University in Sacramento. Jeff has been with Mitchell & Mitchell since January 2010 in the Dental Department. In his spare time, he likes to play sports.

Paul Morris, RPLU - Principal

Paul Graduated from Piedmont High School in 1982, then Graduated from UC Berkeley in 1986. He started in the Insurance Field in 1989 selling Life and Disability Insurance. In 1992 he joined Mitchell & Mitchell and helped create the CPA Professional Liability Department. In his spare time he likes to Hike, play the drums and chase his three boys along with his wife Pamela.

Nova Hall

Nova grew up and attended school in the San Francisco Bay Area. She has experience in Professional Liability for CPA's, Dental and Personal Lines. On her spare time, Nova likes spending time with her family, travelling and going to sporting events.

Dan McKenna, JD, RPLU - Principal

Dan graduated from Massapequa HS in New York in 1972 then went on to graduate from both the University of Denver in 76 and Lincoln Law School in 1981. He's been a member of the California Bar since then. Dan has headed up our lawyer's program for the past fourteen years. He still enjoys the daylights out skiing and hiking when there is no snow!

Anthony Oertel, RPLU, CISR

Tony was raised in Martinez, California. He received a BA at Chadron State in 1984, then an MBA from the University of San Francisco in 1986. In 2007 Tony received his RPLU designation, and he also holds a CISR designation as well. Tony has been with Mitchell & Mitchell for 19 years first in the Dental Malpractice Department and now in the Lawyers Professional Liability Department. His currently active hobby consists of Historical Research.

Rhonda McDaniel

Rhonda was born and raised in Vallejo, California. She gratuated from Hogan High School in the class of 1997, then went on to attend Napa Valley College, where she majored in Criminal Justice. Rhonda's experience is in Professional Liability in the Lawyers Department. In her spare time, Rhonda loves spending time with her family and shopping.

Dean Hamid, AINS

Dean was born and raised in Novato, California. He attended the College of Marin. He has experience in Professional Liability Insurance in the CPA Professional Liability Department and will also run our Podiatrist Malpractice Department. In his spare time, Dean focuses on Technical Analysis, charting stocks and formulating trading strategies.

Wade Hansen, CIC

Wade was raised in the Midwest and moved to California 20 years ago. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He has been in the insurance industry and a broker/agent since 1989 and has spent almost 20 years at Mitchell & Mitchell running the Property/Casualty department. In his spare time he likes to camp and make artisan sausages.

Gustavo Ruano, CIC, CLCS, CISR

Gustavo is a San Francisco Bay Area native. He has been at Mitchell and Mitchell for over 11 years and making sure the Property & Casualty Department is running smoothly. In his spare time, Gustavo likes to travel, Exercise and watch sports.

Marvin Weisberger, CPCU

Marvin is a San Francisco native. He went Lowell High School in San Francisco and then on to San Francisco State University. Marvin has been at Mitchell & Mitchell for 10 months in the Business Property & Casualty Department and has been in the Insurance Brokering business for 30 years.

Andrew Mendle

Andrew is originally from Novato, California. He went to San Marin High School and then on to the College of Marin. Andrew has worked at Mitchell & Mitchell since April 2004 and is a Customer Service Representative and Sales Associate in the Personal Lines Department.

Martina Hanna

Martina is originally from San Francisco, California. She went to school at San Francisco City College and is currently a student at College Of Marin. Martina has been employed at Mitchell & Mitchell since 2006. She is a Customer Service Representative for the Property and Casualty Department. She has been Licensed since 2001. In her spare time Martina likes to participate in Triathlons and Half Marathons.

Melisa Radin

Melisa is originally from Springfield, Ohio, but has traveled extensively as part of a Military family and eventually ended up in Rohnert Park, California where she stayed to eventually raise three kids of her own. She attended Rancho Cotate High School but graduated from Oak Grove High School in San Jose. She went on to West Valley College for a couple of years before seeing a "help wanted" sign in the window of an insurance office and has been in insurance ever since. Melisa was lucky enough to recently join Mitchell & Mitchell in the Personal & Casualty Department mainly concentrating in Personal Lines and to assist the Commercial Department as needed. In her spare time Melisa likes to design jewelry.

Carl Lundgren - Principal

Carl is a Bay Area native. He graduated from Alameda High School, U.C. Berkeley (Math), and then went on to Golden Gate University (Finance).  He spent thirteen years with Pacific Gas and Electric Company (Residential Energy Conservation Auditor, Commercial Energy Conservation Auditor, Budget Analyst, and Economic Analyst), before starting as a Financial Planner in 1993.  He quickly realized the importance of insurance as the foundation of a financial plan and obtained his insurance and securities licenses in 1994.  Carl joined Mitchell and Mitchell in late 1995 and considers himself a generalist for purposes of overall insurance reviews, but more specialized for purposes of Life, Disability, and Long Term Care.

In his spare time, Carl likes family and team activities such as vacations and sporting events. He volunteers in various human needs activities, church related activities and coaches high school water polo.  He also likes to exercise (to some extent!).

Carl thinks it is important to consider needs carefully, and is happy to share his knowledge and the reasons underlying recommendations.  Equally important are the on-going decisions, interaction and service after a product is placed.

Heather Royston

Heather is originally from San Rafael, California. She attended San Rafael High School, then went on to the College of Marin. Heather has 11 years of experience here at Mitchell & Mitchell, and she specializes in Life & Disability Insurance. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy Major

Nancy was born in Massachusetts while her father was attending Tufts University. She also received her BA in Political Science from Tufts after spending a year in Denmark as an American Field Service exchange student. Before staying home to raise her children and volunteer as "Mrs. Science" for a local elementary school, Nancy was V.P. of Compliance for Dean Witter Reynolds for 10 years.

She has been at Mitchell & Mitchell for 3 years in the Life and Health Department. In her spare time, she likes to read, ski, cook, garden, spend time with family and friends, watch foreign films, travel, attend author events and art shows, bird watch, hike, etc. Nancy has been the President of the American Association of University Women in Novato for two years.

Norma Nakamine

Norma grew up in the Northwest. She attended the College of Marin. She has been employed by Mitchell & Mitchell since 2003 in the Health Insurance Department. In her spare time, Norma likes to spend time gardening.

Doug Taylor

Doug was born in Madrid, Spain. He received a Bachelor's degree from George Washington University in Washington, DC. Doug has been employed by Mitchell & MItchell since February of 2006. He works as a Life & Health Agent and Customer Service Representative in the Health Insurance Department servicing current and new business referrals. In his spare time Doug enjoys gardening.

Shryl Larson

Shryl has been employed by Mitchell & Mitchell for nine years in the position of receptionist. She is educationally and professionally qualified to provide support for the Accounting, Dental, Life & Disability and Property & Casualty Departments.

Darlene Kittrell

Darlene was originally born in Chicago, Illinois. She went to school in Southern California. Darlene is the Accounting Manager and Software Consultant for Mitchell & Mitchell. In her spare time, Darlene likes to spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Kathryn Gillett

Kathryn is a Bay Area native who has worked at Mitchell & Mitchell for thirteen years in various capacities. Currently, she works as support to several departments. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and crocheting.

Sue Potter

Sue was born in Chicago, Illinois. She went to the University of Northern Colorado (Greeley), the College of San Mateo, California Polytechnic State University

(B.A. English, Standard Secondary Teaching Credential and Fresno State University

(M.A. Speech Communications) She has worked at Mitchell & Mitchell for ten years as an Executive Secretary for the Dental, Legal & Life & Health Departments. Sue loves to do triathlon sprints.
