With increasing technological advances in the way large corporations sell consumers their products, it was originally thought that when these big insurance companies began using online insurance comparison sites, the use of independent agents and brokers would diminish.

That is farthest from the truth.

According to the latest TransUnion Auto Insurance Shopping Index report, online shopping for auto insurance is down for the second year in a row.

As a result, only a meager 15% of the credit-active population went online to buy new auto insurance policies.

While shopping online for certain policies seems convenient, it still leaves customers vulnerable to making wrong decisions about the different coverages they need.

The average person, no matter how smart or knowledgeable they may be, still would rather speak with a trained professional to ensure they are not being over or under-insured.

Having an independent agent speaking with you and guiding you along the way is the best option for you and your family!
